Man Accused Of Assaulting Officers, Sparked By Stolen Chicken

EAST HILLS (KDKA)- Police were called to a home in East Hills on Sunday morning, due to a burglary in progress.

Just after 7:30 a.m. Sunday, police say Shauna Kelley, 37, broke into the front of a home in the 2400-block of Bracey Drive in the East Hills.

According to the criminal complaint, the woman that lives in the home told police she found Kelley sitting in the living room cutting a tennis shoe with a kitchen knife.

The woman says Kelley swung the knife at her when she told her to leave.

When police arrived, they found Kelley sitting on the sidewalk out front. She told police she came to the house to get frozen chicken, which police found in her purse. It was then returned to the victim.

Kelley told police she and the victim were in a sexual relationship with Marcus Henderson, 37.

Henderson was at the home when police arrived and was standing in between Kelley and the officers. When police told him to back up several times, he refused and pushed one officer on the shoulder and swung at another with a closed fist.

Another officer tased Henderson in the back.

When police asked Kelley why she had a human bite mark on her cheek and bloody lips, she told police Henderson bit her and squeezed her lips together until they bled.

She said he also hit her with a knife on the stomach before kicking her out of the home. She was taken to a local hospital to be treated.

On the way to jail, police said Henderson kept saying he didn't mean to stab Kelley and was slamming his head against the wall of the wagon.

Both Kelley and Henderson are in the Allegheny County Jail facing multiple charges.
