FOX CHAPEL (KDKA) – A local town in our area has been named as one of the best suburbs in the United States.

According to a Business Insider report, Fox Chapel ranked ninth overall.

The study was conducted on 2,754 municipalities across the U.S., “and considered suburbs with populations between 5,000 and 100,000 within 40 kilometers of the nearest metropolitan area.”

Some factors they analyzed included, commute times, median household income, home affordability and public school ratings.

The report showed a median household income of $174,924 and over 80 percent of residents have a bachelor’s degree or higher.

New Albany, Ohio took top honors in the study.
