PITTSBURGH (KDKA)- After defeating Syracuse 23-20 Saturday, the No. 23 Pitt Panthers ascended the college football rankings once again. Pitt is now ranked no. 23 in the AP Poll and no. 24 in the USA Today Amway Coaches Poll.

With no time remaining, Kicker Chris Blewitt nailed the game-winning field goal to put the Panthers at 6-1 on the season. After losing junior tailback James Conner at the beginning of the year, Narduzzi has filled in the gap successfully.
Junior wide receiver Tyler Boyd has accrued 53 catches, 489 receiving yards and four touchdowns in seven games. Last week, Pitt entered the top-25 for the first time since 2010. They were no.15 in the preseason poll that season. Now, Narduzzi has the Panthers ranked for the second consecutive week. On 93.7 the Fan, Narduzzi commented on Pitt being recognized in the AP Poll with Starkey and Mueller.
“It will only mean something at the end of the year.
