Todd Haley Considered Strong Candidate For Miami Dolphins Head Coach Job

PITTSBURGH (KDKA)- Todd Haley, Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator, is now a strong candidate for the Miami Dolphins' head coaching vacancy, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports. The Dolphins fired Joe Philbin on October 5 after a 1-3 start. Bill Parcells, Hall of Fame coach, is said to be very-involved in the selection process.

Despite the injuries and suspensions this year, Haley has utilized all of his options on the Steelers offense. When Ben Roethlisberger went down with an injury against the St. Louis Rams, Haley had to call his own audible. Michael Vick filled in and now Landry Jones is starting at quarterback for the Steelers.

The Steelers hired Haley in 2012 and have sustained a record of 27-22. Haley helped produce a record-setting season on offense last year. They broke franchise single-season records in points, total net yards, passing yards per game, total first downs and individual 100-yard receiving games.
