The detectives heard a loud commotion and saw 30-year-old Jasmine Stevens yelling threats and approaching a woman they were talking to. The detectives say Stevens was armed with a long knife in each hand and was threatening to slice the woman’s throat.

A detective immediately got out of the car and confronted Stevens. He pulled out a Taser, while the other detectives drew their guns. They ordered Stevens to drop the knives. At that point, she complied and dropped the knives on the ground.
