Woman Threatens To Kill Other Woman While Swinging 2 Big Knives

FINEVIEW (KDKA) - Allegheny County sheriff's deputies arrested a woman for threatening to kill another woman.

Around 11 a.m. Tuesday, plainclothes detectives were in the 2400-block of Belleau Street in the Fineview neighborhood of Pittsburgh looking for a wanted fugitive.

The detectives heard a loud commotion and saw 30-year-old Jasmine Stevens yelling threats and approaching a woman they were talking to. The detectives say Stevens was armed with a long knife in each hand and was threatening to slice the woman's throat.

A detective immediately got out of the car and confronted Stevens. He pulled out a Taser, while the other detectives drew their guns. They ordered Stevens to drop the knives. At that point, she complied and dropped the knives on the ground.

Stevens was placed under arrest. Detectives said once she was in custody, she continued to make death threats towards the victim and stated she intended to kill the woman when she was released from jail.

Stevens was taken to the Allegheny County Jail on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and disorderly conduct.
