Man Charged In Arlington Shooting Death

PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) -- A western Pennsylvania man has been charged in the shooting death of another man a day after authorities say that person was present at another shooting involving the defendant.

Police have charged 20-year-old Lucas Guggenheimer with homicide and a firearms crime in Allegheny County in the Oct. 11 shooting death of 28-year-old Justin Granda in the Arlington neighborhood of Pittsburgh.

Granda was shot multiple times in the 2800-block of Arlington Avenue and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner said he died from multiple gunshot wounds to the head.

Police allege that Granda was with Guggenheimer in another shooting the day before during a robbery in Turtle Creek. Investigators allege that Granda fled after another man was shot in the leg while struggling with Guggenheimer over a gun. Authorities allege that Guggenheimer shot and killed Granda the following day.

Court documents don't list an attorney who could respond to the charges; a listed number for Guggenheimer couldn't be found Saturday.
