Governor's Office Is Encouraging Pennsylvanians To Stay Vigilant

HARRISBURG (KDKA) -- Gov. Tom Wolf wants to remind Pennsylvanians to "be vigilant" and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement in the wake of the Friday night attacks in Paris.

In a release from the Governor's Press Office, the Wolf Administration says there is no known imminent threat in Pennsylvania, but law enforcement is taking precautions regardless. According to the Office of Homeland Security, police in Philadelphia are increasing security for the weekend, and other areas of Pennsylvania may increase security as well.

Pennsylvania State Police encourage individuals to report any suspicious activity by phone at 1 (888) 292-1919 or by e-mail at tips@pa.gov. There is also a State Police smartphone app called "See Something, Send Something," which is available for free for iPhone and Android users.

Citizens are reminded to call 911 immediately if they feel they are in imminent danger.

Friday night, multiple attacks were reported in various locations in Paris. At least 127 people were reported dead.
