FARMINGTON (KDKA)- A fire was reported at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort late-Saturday night. It developed within the chimney at their original lodge building.

Officials confirmed the fire at approximately 10:38 p.m and officials arrived nearly an hour later. The fire remained in the chimney in that duration and the building was deemed safe by fire emergency personnel.

All guests at the resort were accounted for and returned to their lodging. No injuries were reported and no structural damage occurred.

Nemacolin Woodlands Resort officials issued the following statement:

“The safety of our guests is our top priority and associates and emergency personnel reacted quickly by immediately evacuating guests from the original Lodge rooms, as a precautionary method. Nemacolin Woodlands Resort would like to express our deep appreciation and gratitude to the local emergency personnel for their prompt response and quick actions.”
