Man Shot, Injured While Walking In Allentown

ALLENTOWN (KDKA) – Police are investigating after a young man was shot and injured in Allentown Monday morning.

According to police, the incident happened near the intersection of Freeland Street and Beltzhoover Avenue around 9 a.m.

The 19-year-old victim was walking with another male when two unidentified males opened fire. The victim was struck once in the buttock and was able to flee to the 300 block of Millbridge Street.

When police arrived, they found multiple shell casings. It was also determined that the suspects possibly fled in a blue car.

The victim was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital and was last listed in stable condition.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact police.
