Arrest Warrant Issued In Deadly Arnold Shooting

ARNOLD (KDKA)- An arrest warrant has been issued by police investigating a deadly shooting in Westmoreland County.

Reports say a big fight started around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 1400 block of Taylor Avenue in Arnold.

Authorities found 51-year-old Donald Williams' body on the sidewalk outside of a boarded up home in Arnold.

Tonight his daughter, 24-year-old Donita Hutcherson, is speaking out about the shooting.

"I love him, and I got to tell him that before he died," Hutcherson said.

Police say he was shot to death after a melee that took place in the streets.

"He was a good man, he always did good by me no matter what," Hutcherson told KDKA's Amy Wadas.

Police are now looking for 18-year-old Erik Reed Jr. as a suspect in the shooting.

"I don't even have words. I don't have words for the boy or whoever did it. No words at all," Hutcherson said.

"I don't believe that anybody realized that he'd been shot until the whole thing settled down," Arnold Police Chief Shannon Santucci-Davis said.

Police believe 15 to 20 people were involved.

They threw punches and kicks at the intersection of North Street and Taylor Ave.

According to police, the brawl was the result of a longstanding issue between Williams' two daughters and two other teenagers.

"He came out to stop it, and it just escalated," Hutcherson said.

The four teenage girls, ages 15 to 18, had been fighting at school and on the bus.

Arnold Police aren't sure what they were at odds about, but when they met Tuesday night, police said their fight spread with parents getting involved.

How the fight went from four teenage girls to a fatal shooting remains under investigation.

"Why the gun, it didn't have to go that far, that will forever be my question, just why, why did this happen," Hutcherson said.

Police say the suspect, Reed Jr., is also suspected in another shooting, and also had an altercation with police.
