Former City Police Recruit Charged With Sexually Assaulting 2 Teen Girls

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A former Pittsburgh Police recruit is facing charges for allegedly sexually assaulting two girls.

The Attorney General's Office arrested Cyrus Sukhadia following a tip from the city police bureau.

According to the criminal complaint, his phone was seized in an unrelated investigation. While searching the phone, police uncovered "potential unlawful conduct" with two minors.

Investigators say Sukhadia had sex with two 15-year-old girls last year.

They say he pretended to be a police officer when he made contact with both girls.

He is charged with unlawful contact with a minor, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault and corruption of minors.

He was released from custody after posting $75,000 bond.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 29.
