PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) – In what is unsurprising news, the Steelers players have voted wide receiver Antonio Brown the team MVP.
Browns has 123 receptions this year, good for second-most in the league, 1,647 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns.
Brown’s 362 receptions over the past three seasons has set the NFL record for most receptions in any three consecutive seasons.
This is the third time in the past five seasons that Brown has been voted team MVP. Only three other players have achieved this feat, Rod Woodson, Jerome Bettis and Hines Ward.
This is just one of several accolades for Brown this year as he has earned his third straight Pro Bowl appearance, the fourth in his career, was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month in November, the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 15 and AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 13.
