County 911 Dispatcher Accused Of Sexting 14-Year-Old Boy

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – An Allegheny County 911 dispatcher is accused of trying to have sex with a 14-year-old boy.

Derek Horneman, 22, of Natrona Heights was arrested over the weekend and charged with corruption of a minor. Police say Horneman was sexting a 14-year-old boy who lives in Leechburg and asking the boy to perform a variety of sexual acts.

Horneman was released on bond, pending his preliminary hearing. In the meantime, he has been suspended from his job, where he was paid about $45,000 a year.

There was no comment from Horneman's attorney, Horneman himself or Leechburg police Wednesday afternoon.
