Brown left last weekend's wild-card win over Cincinnati after taking a shot to the head from Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict. In that game, Brown had 7 catches for 119 yards before leaving.

Brown has been seen at the Steelers facility, but has not practiced all week while following the NFL's concussion protocol.

The four-time Pro Bowler tied for the league lead with 136 receptions and was second in yards receiving with 1,834 this season.

Brown had made 55 consecutive starts for Pittsburgh.

Following the game, Bengals cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones said that Brown was faking the injury.

"Antonio Brown was not hurt. I know he was faking it," Jones said on the Dan Patrick Show. "Go back and look at the play. If you go back and slow-motion play, you tell me that Vontaze hit him in the head or did his shoulder pads barely touch him?"

"He deserved a Grammy Award for that," he said. "I know if you just got knocked out, you ain't going to be able to wink and tell me you're OK."

Today, Jones apologized via Instagram.

Running back DeAngelo Williams has also officially been ruled out for Sunday's game.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw in practice on Friday but remains questionable for the showdown with the Broncos. Roethlisberger is dealing with a sprained right shoulder. He was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday. The team hopes he can throw during Friday's workout.

Roethlisberger is dealing with a sprained right shoulder. He was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday but was a full participant in the final major workout before the Steelers face the Broncos.

Coach Mike Tomlin says Roethlisberger did everything he was asked on Friday.
