Man Found Shot To Death In Perry North May Have Been Robbery Victim

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Police are investigating after finding a man shot to death in a home in the city's Perry North neighborhood Thursday.

Police were called to the home in the 3900-block of Vinceton Street around 6 p.m.

Officials say the victim was found dead in his living room by his parents. Authorities say he had been shot at least once in the chest.

"It appears to be a homicide," said Pittsburgh Police Commander Larry Scirotto. "The victim looks like he sustained one gunshot wound to his torso. He was deceased on the floor."

According to investigators, it's believed he was shot around 4 p.m. Wednesday. Police say someone called 911 around that time to report gunshots in the area.

"We believe it may have happened 24 hours ago," said Commander Scirotto. "Officers responded to a shots fired call yesterday around 4 p.m., but there was very little information when they responded to that call. It was just screaming and then someone ran down the street."
