Several Cattle Killed In Tractor-Trailer Crash On Turnpike

SOMERSET (KDKA) – The eastbound lanes of the Pennsylvania Turnpike are back open this morning after a tractor-trailer hauling cattle crashed Wednesday night.

According to emergency dispatchers, the tractor-trailer overturned around 11 p.m. near Somerset.

The truck was hauling 35 to 40 cattle and several were killed in the crash.

Crews finished cleaning up the accident around 6 a.m.

No other information has been released at this time.
