Police: Ex-Boyfriend Hid In Basement, Attacked Woman In Carmichaels

CARMICHAELS (KDKA)- A Dunkard Township man is facing charges for allegedly attacking his ex-girlfriend in Greene County.

According to the Observer-Reporter, police say 39-year-old Michael Oshetsky went to Anita Danko's house on North Vine Street in Carmichaels early Sunday morning.

Police say Danko asked him to leave, which she thought he did. According to police, Oshetsky somehow sneaked into the basement and fell asleep on the floor.

When he woke up later that morning, police say he went upstairs and attacked Danko.

Police told the Observer-Reporter that Oshetsky covered the victim's mouth while punching her in the face multiple times.

He's accused of threatening to kill her and then stealing her cell phone and tablet.

Police say Danko was able to kick Oshetsky to stop the attack.

The search continues for Oshetsky who will face charges of assault, harassment and trespassing.
