Sprinklers Put Out Small Fire In U.S. Steel Tower

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh firefighters responded to the U.S. Steel Tower early Sunday morning only to find the fire extinguished when they got there.

Around 4:45 a.m., the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire responded to 600 Grant Street for a water flow alarm. Firefighters discovered that a small fire had broken out in a custodian room, but it had already been extinguished by the sprinkler system.

According to the Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety, there were no injuries, and there was only minor damage.
