Get Marty: Woman Seeking Medical Treatment Ends Up In Jail, With Serious Injuries

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A shocking Get Marty is now being looked at by the FBI.

Lori Davis went to UPMC seeking medical treatment for stomach pain and ended up in jail with a significant number of injuries.

"I just want to know what happened to my mother," says her daughter, Samantha Culp.

Police reports indicate Davis was disruptive at UPMC Mercy Hospital.

According to those police reports, she was asked to leave and refused. UPMC Security officers then arrested her and took her to the Allegheny County Jail.

Inside the jail, surveillance video indicates she had a seizure and banged her head.

"I want to know why my mother didn't get treated at Mercy," says Culp.

Davis has a long history of mental illness.

"I want to know what happened to her face and body," says Culp.

Forensic pathologist Dr. Cyril Wecht says there is no way all of her injuries came from a fall.

"These are classical injuries with someone being punched or struck," Dr. Wecht says.

Meanwhile, Allegheny County Jail officials say video surveillance proves she was not injured at the jail.

UPMC says they did everything they could to help her in any way possible.

KDKA has learned the FBI is taking a very serious look at the case.
