North Side Business Sign Defaced By LGBT Hate Speech

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A north side business has reportedly been vandalized with LGBT hate speech.

A release from the Delta Foundation of Pittsburgh states that someone defaced a sign outside of Central Wellness Outreach Center.

The business is reportedly a major provider of culturally competent medical care for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, including those that are HIV positive.

Gary Van Horn, president of the Delta Foundation of Pittsburgh, expressed his outrage over the incident.

"We were alarmed to learn of what was written on the sign. Dr. Stacy Lane is a well-respected physician providing much needed medical care to our community. Her practice goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone is treated with dignity and respect and it's sad that this would occur in Pittsburgh," he said.

The Delta Foundation of Pittsburgh is an organization "dedicated to improving the quality of life for and visibility of the LGBT community," according to their Facebook page.
