CBS Pilot May Be Headed For Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Are you ready for your closeup Pittsburgh? The pilot episode of a CBS series appears to be headed for the Steel City.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that "Sensory," a medical drama produced by CBS Studios, TriStar Television and Scott Free Productions is opening a production office in town next week.

Filming is set to begin Mar. 21.

A publicist for TriStar Television said that the pilot will be shot in Pittsburgh. If the show gets picked up, it is not clear where the rest of the episodes will be filmed.

The project has yet to apply for a Pennsylvania film tax credit, which normally is required for a project this size.

The show is about a veteran neurologist and the doctor's protégé, who has mirror-touch synesthesia, a neurological trait that causes the protégé to experience other people's sensations.

The series is inspired by the life story of Dr. Joel Salinas.
