PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Firefighters battled large flames at a building in Carrick on Sunday.

Reports of the fire came in first around 8 p.m. and the flames were contained just after 9 p.m.

It happened in the area of Churchview Avenue and Brownsville Road. Smoke was seen billowing from the attic as crews worked to douse the inferno.

Authorities have not reported anyone being injured, and the building was believed to be vacant.

It is not clear what sparked the fire.
