Get Marty: Charges Dropped Against Woman Who Ended Up In Jail While Seeking Medical Help

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- There's been a victory in court for a woman who recently reached out to Get Marty.

"Thank you. Thank you so much for your help," says a grateful Lori Davis.

The Pittsburgh woman went to Mercy Hospital last January. She says she was having stomach problems. Police reports indicate she was "screaming and throwing tantrums."

Doctors believed she was looking for drugs.

Davis, who has a 15-year history of mental illness, was arrested by police. She was then taken to jail.

Surveillance video shows she had a seizure in the Allegheny County Jail and banged her head.

Photographs show injuries to her face, neck, hands, back, and legs.

"I just want to know what happened to me," says Davis.

She remembers nothing from that day.

"All charges against my client were dismissed as they should have been," says Davis' attorney, Phil DiLucente.

The judge dismissed the charges, stating there wasn't enough evidence for a case.

"We will not rest until this woman receives justice," says DiLucente.

The defense attorney says he is preparing a civil lawsuit in the case.
