With summer just around the corner, this is a busy time of year. High school students are going to proms and seniors are preparing for graduation. It's a time for parties, but it can also be a time for tragedy.

Teenage drivers are inexperienced and if they are distracted by their phone or their passengers or if they drink or use drugs, It just makes the situation more dangerous.

So parents if you haven't had "The Talk" with your teen about the dangers of distracted driving, about the consequences of driving impaired – now is the time to do it. And have a plan to get your son or daughter home safely if they call to say the person they are riding with is under the influence.
