Teen Girl Arrested In Deadly Knife Fight In Pa. Alley
SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say a teenage girl has been arrested after a knife fight in an alley killed a woman in northeastern Pennsylvania.
Officials in Lackawanna County said 18-year-old Kayla VanWert was pronounced dead of stab wounds to her neck and chest on Sunday night
Police in Scranton said they determined that the victim had gotten into a heated argument online. Officers were told that she went to confront the other person in an alley nearby but never returned.

Police said they found blood droplets, footprints and pieces of a broken knife at the scene. VanWert died at Regional Hospital of Scranton two blocks away.
Authorities said the 16-year-old suspect was arrested in West Scranton and faces assault and reckless endangering charges. She could face homicide charges pending results of an autopsy.
