Perry South Shooting Leaves 1 Man Dead

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A man died after being shot late Tuesday night in Pittsburgh's Perry South neighborhood.

Keith Coleman, 31, was shot in the 300 block of Kennedy Avenue just before midnight.

When officers arrived, they found Coleman lying in the street and suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

Coleman was rushed to Allegheny General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police believe Coleman was driving through the area when he was shot. His vehicle struck four parked vehicles before coming to a stop.

Police and a K-9 Unit searched the area around Norwood and Kennedy Avenues for two men believed to be suspects in the case.

No one was found or arrested.

An autopsy is scheduled for Coleman on Wednesday morning.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at (412)-323-7161.
