JEANNETTE (KDKA) — The City of Jeannette fire department warned residents of a large natural gas leak Saturday morning.

According to the fire department’s Facebook page, the leak is located on Claridge Elliot Road off of North 4th Street. Around 9:45 a.m., they said the gas company was working to isolate the leak. City fire units were on scene, along with Grandview fire department units on the Penn Township side of the scene.

The fire department warned that residents who live on Elliot Street or Green Street north of Marshall may smell gas outside. Residents were urged to leave doors and windows closed.

Around 2:30 p.m. the gas leak was reportedly isolated.
