PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Pittsburgh Pirates catcher Francisco Cervelli should return to full baseball activities in about a month after being injured last week.

The Pittsburgh Pirates announced Saturday afternoon that Cervelli had been placed on the 15-day disabled list due to a broken bone in his left hand. He underwent surgery for his injury Saturday, and the Pirates said the estimated recovery time before he could return to “full baseball activities” would be four to six weeks.
