Report Says Pittsburgh Has Some Of The Worst Drivers In The U.S.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A new report says Pittsburgh has some of the worst drivers in the country.

That's according to Allstate Insurance, which ranked the 200 largest cities in the U.S. on the likelihood drivers will get into a car crash.

Pittsburgh had an average number of 18.3 "hard braking events" per 1,000 miles.

That ranked the Steel City as the 178th safest city out of 200.

Pretty close to the top 20 worst cities which also included Philadelphia, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, and Dallas among others.

The good news? Pittsburgh drivers are actually improving while the rest of the country is getting worse.

Last year Pittsburgh was ranked 185th out of 200 in the study.
