REPORTS TO: Pittsburgh Programs Administrator

ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE: This position is accountable for classroom instruction on soft skills required to be successful in a job or career and possible post secondary options to support career goals. The program will be based around Skills to Pay the Bills, an ODPE resource. Supplemental materials will be provided by the teacher including possible speakers. The structure program is interactive, hands on, providing age appropriate activities to motivate students, field trips to local community partner businesses, and mock interviewing. Each site will support up to 10 students and instructor works in partnership with the Pittsburgh Programs Administrator, OVR counselors and school district Transition Coordinators.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Executes lesson plans for each week
• Provides instruction for students using a variety of research supported instruction methods to support students identified with all Disabilities.
• Plans and delivers instruction to support student's post school goal of employment.
• Monitors health and safety procedures in the classroom.
• Supports the mission of Volunteers of America

Position Title: Special Education Para-professional Program: Workforce Development Summer Youth Program

Reports To: Summer Youth Program Instructor
Schedule: 25-30 hours a week
Temporary position for summer program
Compensation negotiated commensurate with experience

Function/Scope:
Para-professional will assist instructor with daily activities. They might be asked to work one on one with students under the direction of the Instructor. The focus of this program is employment and employability. It addresses the soft skills needed to be successfully and sustainably employed. Students go on three field trips to different work environments, engage in interactive group activities, work on the computer on job search skills and interview weekly to improve interview skills. There are many opportunities to work with different disabilities and the needs of a variety of skill. Sign language a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Attend some program meetings, daily debriefs, and after program evaluations
• Assist Instructor with all daily activities related to summer program
• Participate in all student evaluations
• Assist with evaluation of students based on developed rubrics
• Evaluate the success of the rubric and make appropriate recommendations
• Represent Volunteers of America of Pennsylvania's Project for Freedom in a professional manner
Qualifications
Demonstrated skills must include strong verbal and written communications, ability to use computer software (specifically Word, Excel and Outlook), experience working with youth, as well as flexibility, creativity and a positive energetic personality.

Required to learn all menu items produced by assigned stations and understand Banquet Event Orders. This person would be responsible for production of orders in a timely manner. This position also requires standing, walking, reaching and/or lifting up to 50 lbs throughout shift. Previous culinary experience preferred. Must be flexible and available to work all shifts; AM, PM & overnight.Possible on call and flexible schedules available.

In Room Dining Cook Culinary
This position will focus on In Room Dining and new Restaurant menu. Responsible for control quality and consistency of all food served. Banquet Bartender Banquets
This person would be responsible for proper set up and maintaining a clean and efficient bar throughout their shift. Ensuring uniform and presence are immaculate and professional at all time. Person would help with glassware par levels and inventory and complete other duties as assigned by management. Some equipment operation involved, bending and lifting involved, continuous standing and walking. This person will spend majority of shifts bartending . Previous bartending experience required and an Alcohol Awareness training class preferred. Must be flexible and able to work AM's, PM's, Weekends and Holidays. Possible on call and flexible schedules available.(2)

Dining Room Attendant- Food Runner Outlets
Respsonsible for assisting servers to ensure proper, prompt and courteous service to all guests, table maintenance, general cleanliness of work areas, silver poislihing and restocking side stations. Must be flexible with scheduled and show be able to work AM and PM shifts, Monday through Sunday

Part Time/ Temporary & On Call Positions
On Call Banquet Server Banquet
This person would be responsible for serving several guests in a short period of time. Meeting Omni banquet service standards is a top focus. Qualified candidate must have excellent customer service and food skills in a fast paced environment. This position requires standing and walking throughout shift, lifting trays of at least 75 pounds, reaching and bending. Previous food service experience required. Must be flexible and able to work all shifts; including AM's, PM's overnights, weekends and holidays. On call position.

Banquet Cashier Banquet
This person is responsible for cash handling at Banquet functions. This is an on call position and is not guaranteed any specific weekly work schedule or amount of hours. Cash handling experience is preferred. Must be flexible and able to work all AM, PM & overnight shifts. On call position. (2)

Banquet Culinarian Culinary
This person would assist culinary teams with setup, prep work and some cooking. This position requires standing, walking, reaching and/or lifting up to 50 lbs throughout shift. Candidate must be willing to learn and operate various types of equipment. Candidate should be flexible with schedule. On Call position. (4)

Rooms and Operations Positions
Front Desk Agent Front Office
This person would be responsible for checking guests in and out of the hotel; offering information regarding hotel services and amenities; giving directions; dining and entertainment options. Must be able to complete a daily shift report and balance paper work and cash drawer. Typing skills and computer experience preferred. Previous hotel experience preferred, customer service experience required. This position requires standing and walking throughout shift. Applicant must be flexible and able to work am, pm, weekends and holidays. Possible on call and flexible schedules available.

Guest Room Attendant Housekeeping
This person is responsible for cleaning 17 guest rooms a day. Duties include making bed, dusting, scrubbing floor, tubs, sinks, vacuuming rooms and hallways, and other duties assigned by manager or supervisor. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs throughout shift and push a cart weighing up to approximately 100 lbs. Requires standing, walking, bending throughout shift. Previous experience

Responsible for cleanliness of numerous public restrooms on various floors. Constant cleaning of very active public space including the emptying garbage, delivering linen to multiple places. Sales Manager(Corporate Market) Management
To assist in implementing all strategies and activities to generate and maximize overall revenue through direct sales efforts: foster positive customer relations, resulting in a profitable return on the ownership's investment. Will work closely with the catering sales, conference services, and revenue management departments to maximize revenues; maintain positive interdepartmental communications; and contribute to the overall achievement of group sales and the financial success of the hotel. Position will be part of a large tenured Sales Team with very aggressive goals, in a very fast paced environment.

Sous Chef (Restaurant) Culinary
This person will be responsible for efficient and effective operation of the Restaurant kitchen and food production outlets. Responsible for staff training, overseeing production for breakfast, lunch, dinner, next day prep and ensuring the highest quality of food standards are met. Develop and train associates on menu items, cleanliness, daily specials and consistent plate presentation. Responsible for food cost controls and menu planning with the Executive Chef. 3-5 years Culinary management experience preferred. Strong Upscale Restaurant experience preferred

Ideal Service Manager/Room Service Manager Room Service
This person will be responsible for overall management and development of Telephone Agents and Room Service Servers. This person will coordinate execution of amenity deliveries and Select Guest program. Ensure Omni standards are being met in regards to both departments. Maintain adequate supply of both equipment and food items to ensure speed and quality of service. Handle payroll issues and control expenses. Would work closely with other departments and managers in regards to guest complaints and follow up. Candidate must possess strong communication skills. Previous management experience required, previous food and beverage experience required. Previous hotel experience preferred. TIPS or other Alcohol Awareness certification preferred. Banquet Manager Banquets
This person will assist other Banquet Manager and perform their duties in their absence. This person will be responsible for organizing staff, scheduling, payroll, and training to provide excellent customer service. Coordinates services with Culinary, Stewarding and other departments, ensures meeting rooms are set due to specifications, reviews BEO's, attends meetings, ensure meeting are executed smoothly. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, continuous walking throughout shift. This person must be able to effectively communicate person to person, via phone and computer. 3 years Food and Beverage management experience required. Executive Chef Culinary
Ability to mentor new and existing team members alike . Fostering a professional working environment of trust, compassion, excellence, and culinary professionalism. Work with the Food and Beverage operational managers concerning market trends, analysis of those trends and work these trends into the operation. In conjunction with the Food and Beverage Director, plan and implement menu design, creating trend setting yet inviting dishes, as well as being able to create standard recipe cards for each dish. Maintain control of the standards for purchasing and receiving items. Regularly test and evaluate products for quality, paying particular attention to yield/holding qualities/market price/wastage usage of leftovers. Control requisitioning of food quantities, by forecasting volume, to achieve maximum profitability by avoiding over/under production. Assist in the promotion of in house sales activities, such as culinary festivals, chef specialties and culinary competition. Interview/recruit suitable staff for the operation, in conjunction with HR and the Food and Beverage director. 5-10 years minimum of Executive Chef responsibility in a high volume, fast paced, full service hotel or resort preferred. Must excel in culinary creativity as demonstrated by cooking/performing a tasting with strong knowledge of classical, and current trends within the industry. Responsible for the planning, production and execution of the high-volume banquets and catering operation, which includes 55,000 square feet of meeting space. Ideal candidate will have experience managing and maneuvering within a union environment. Candidate must have good knowledge of computer software programs such as Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Front Office Supervisor Front Office
This person would be familiar with all technical equipment related to the Front Desk and familiar with guest scenarios. Must have complete understanding of room type availability. Should be familiar with the inter-relationship between the different departments, especially Housekeeping and Ideal Service. Understand and complete the Rooms' Controller Checklist. Manage all daily room changes as well as be familiar with movie, phone systems and front office computer systems. This person would be familiar with ESP Accounts and Last Room Availability. Understand Omni's policies on reservations restrictions. Primary responsibility will include but not limited to the Rooms Controller function. Previous Front Office experience preferred. This person will also be involved in training and supervising the Rooms' Controllers in addition to managing the Front Desk operations in the absence of Front Desk management

Assistant Front Office Manager Front Office
Responsible for ensuring maximum Front Office operating efficiency. Candidate will spend about 50% of the time working at the Front Desk with the staff. The remainder of the time will be spent in scheduled training courses, attending Revenue Merchandising meetings, Credit Meetings, P&L meetings, Strategy meetings, daily am or pm stand up meetings and Rooms Division meetings. Responsible for maintaining all the training for new hires, keeping training boards up to date, building strong communication with department objectives and its associates, supporting staff when needed and assisting Front Office Manager with projects. Responsible for managing the department in the absence of the Front Office Manager. Previous Front Office supervisory / management experience required. Must be flexible with availability and able to work AM's, PM's, weekends and holidays.

Front Desk Manager Front Office
This person will be responsible for managing the associates and day to day operations of the front desk. Ensure that Omni customer service standards are maintained and that every guest is satisfied. Ensure that the Front Desk and Rooms Controlling operate at peak efficiency to give a maximum utilization of guestroom availability in attaining high occupancies and with minimum overbooking. To ensure the accuracy of the Front Desk records with direct and open lines of communications to other departments within the hotel. Takes a lead role in marketing efforts to include Select Guest, Promotional Packages and ensure accurate occupancy forecasting. In conjunction with night audit staff, ensure timely and accurate reporting of daily operating results and statistical information as related to revenue and expenses. Previous customer service experience required. Candidate must be flexible with schedule and able to work AM's, PM's, Overnights, Weekends and Holidays. Previous Front Office supervisory experience preferred.
