Youth Organization Speaking Out Against Gun Violence Through Art
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A group of kids and aspiring artists came together Tuesday to call for an end to gun violence.
More than 100 young people from the Moving the Lives of Kids project gathered in Homewood.
They say they're tired of the recent shootings, so they've launched a campaign to paint murals throughout the city.
They're using orange, which is the color that represents gun violence awareness.
"It's a visible reminder that guns take lives," said Rev. Glenn Grayson, the pastor of Wesley AME Zion Church. "I'm honored that you'll put your mark on these various walls that will be everlasting."

The group was also touched by gun violence.
The brother of a 14-year-old boy who was shot and killed on the Fourth of July is a part of the MLK mural project.
