ROSS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – A power outage in Ross Township is having an effect on the morning commute.

Several transformers blew along the 300 block of Jacks Run Road around 5 a.m., which knocked out power in the area.

A tree also fell on some wires in the same area.

As a result, the HOV lanes on the Parkway North are closed for the morning commute.

Duquesne Light officials expect to have power restored by noon.
