Deputies Arrest Man Who Broke Into Business & Was Shot By Owner

BEAVER FALLS (KDKA) -- Deputies have caught up with a wanted fugitive.

Early Thursday morning, the Beaver County Sheriff's Office, U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, and Youngstown/Boardman Ohio's Police Department, apprehended 55-year-old, Norman Francis Harvey of Aliquippa, during an arrest in Beaver Falls.

Harvey had been sought after he allegedly broke into a jewelry business and was shot by the owner.

Harvey faces charges of aggravated burglary and the theft in Boardman. Following his apprehension, Harvey was transported to the Beaver County Jail where he will be additionally charged by Beaver County Sheriff's Office with being a fugitive from justice.

Sheriff Tony Guy indicated that "significant apprehensions of this type involving fugitives who have fled between other Countries and States is only possible through the cooperation of dedicated law enforcement officers. The ability of our deputies to respond to this type of request greatly enhances public safety."

Harvey will remain in jail awaiting extradition.
