Police: Couple Accused Of Robbing Neighbor For Heroin Money

MOUNT PLEASANT (KDKA) -- A couple is accused of robbing a woman in Westmoreland County.

Police say the suspect pushed the victim to the ground and held her at knifepoint while demanding cash and his girlfriend allegedly drove the getaway car.

Sherri Howell says what happened to her landlord a few weeks ago in Mount Pleasant is etched in here memory. It started with an early morning commotion.

"I was freaking out, scared," said Howell. "It was 7 o'clock in the morning someone was beating on my door."

That someone was Howell's landlord.

"She was shaking, crying didn't have her glasses on," Howell said.

The woman, in her 60s, lives above Howell along Hecla Road. She said she heard a knock at the door when a man with a black hoodie shading his face, pushed her to the ground demanding money.

"She said, 'They robbed me, they robbed me, put a knife to my throat,'" said Howell.

The suspect dragged the woman up the stairs to get her purse.

Grabbing the handbag, the suspect ran to the Post Office nearby, got in a car and left the scene, but he apparently did a lousy job of hiding his identity.

"Yes, she knew him, he helped her. He helped her move. She gave him some money to help him out," said Howell.

The suspect is identified as 34-year-old Gregory Klosky. Neighbors told state troopers they saw and identified Klosky specifically running from the victim's residence with a purse.

They say they recognized him because he grew up nearby.

Klosky's alleged getaway driver is identified as his girlfriend, Traci Jo Pletcher. Police say she told investigators that Klosky complained about only getting $100.

A few weeks later, troopers tracked the two down. Pletcher told investigators the duo broke into several places for heroine money.

And although roughed up, the victim is going to be okay.

"I can't believe they did that," said Howell. "I was heartbroken."

Pletcher is being held on $50,000 straight cash bond on conspiracy.

Klosky, meanwhile, is in the Westmoreland County Jail on $100,000 straight cash bond for robbery and assault, as well as a number of other felonies.
