Stowe Twp. Shooting Victim Dies, Warrant Issued For Suspect
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Allegheny County Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Stowe Township.
The incident happened just before 9 p.m. in the 800-block of Russellwood Avenue.
Lt. Andrew Schurman said a 22-year-old man was shot once in the head. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
Investigators said the shots were fired outside and the man was found out in the yard.
Police have obtained an arrest warrant for 27-year-old Charles Dixson.
Dixon is described as being an African-American male, standing about 5-feet-10-inches tall with a large build.
Anyone who sees Dixon is asked to call 911. Police are also asking anyone with information about Dixon's whereabouts to call the Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit at (412)-473-1300.
There's no word on what prompted the shooting.
