Report: Tim Tebow To Workout For MLB Teams
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Tim Tebow is reportedly going to try baseball now.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the former Denver Broncos, New York Jets, New England Patriots, and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback will hold workouts for Major league Baseball teams in August.
Tebow, who turns 29 on Sunday, is a Heisman Trophy winner and two-time National Champion at the University of Florida in football.
However, during his time at Allen D. Nease High School in Ponte Vedra, Florida, Tebow was an All-State baseball player hitting .494 as a junior, according to Schefter.
"Obviously we support Tim in his pursuit of a baseball career, as we have in all his ventures," said Tebow's football agent, Jimmy Sexton via ESPN.com.
