Police Investigating Fatal Shooting Near Wilkinsburg Wendy's

WILKINSBURG, Pa. (KDKA/AP) - A man has died after being shot in the neck near the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant in Wilkinsburg.

The shooting happened around 11:30 a.m. Monday near the Wendy's restaurant at the intersection of Peebles Street and Penn Avenue.

"We're not sure if this was an attempted robbery or stemming from a prior incident," said Lt. Andrew Schurman with Allegheny County Police. "We believe there were multiple parties on each side."

The victim was identified as 19-year-old Antonio Troutman of Wilkinsburg. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Officials say those with the victim and others involved fled, leaving Troutman to bleed in the parking lot.

29-year-old James Davis is accused in the killing, charged with homicide, weapons violations, and tampering with evidence.

Nobody in the restaurant was involved or hurt.
