PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) – Rod Salka (22-4, 4 KO’s) is gearing up for a fight at the Meadows Racetrack and Casino on Saturday, Aug. 27, and joined The Fan’s Chris Mueller to talk about his strategy.

Salka will be taking on the 5’10 Wilberth Lopez and talked about the way he’ll have to attack the taller fighter.

“If I come out and do what I’m doing and this kid is causing problems, then I have to adjust,” Salka said. “He is a tall kid, so it could make for an awkward exchange.”

Salka also talked about getting to box near his hometown and how he hopes to help spread the sport.

“I’d much rather fight at home in big fights,” Salka said. “These casino fights, man, casino fights are awesome. Meadows Casino putting shows together, it’s great for boxing. I’m glad to be a part of this still and able to do this and maybe keep people interested.”
