Police: Mt. Lebanon Man Sexually Assaulted Teen Girl Multiple Times

MOUNT LEBANON (KDKA) -- A South Hills man is in jail; accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl he met online.

Brian Meshyock, 44, of Mt. Lebanon, is facing charges that include corruption of a minor, statutory sexual assault, and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse.

A teenage girl told investigators that the relationship she had with Meshyock began last March, through a chance encounter on the Internet.

The suspect lives in a third-floor apartment at the North Meadowcraft apartment building in Mt. Lebanon.

According to court papers, police began their investigation after they were called to the neighborhood because of a verbal argument in the street between the girl and her guardian.

When she was questioned, police say the girl admitted she was in the area to meet a man who lived nearby. The purpose of the meeting, she told investigators, was to have sex.

One man who was acquainted with Meshyock said, "We've met. I've known him to be a good guy, that's what makes it so surprising. But, crime knows no borders. Whether you live in Mt. Lebanon or Mt. Oliver, these things can happen no matter where you live."

The teenager explained to detectives that Meshyock would pick her up near her home and drive her back to his apartment where they had sex on multiple occasions.

Unable to post $100,000 bail, Meshyock remains in the Allegheny County Jail. He has a hearing set for Wednesday.
