'Most Wanted' Sex Offender Apprehended In Kittanning

KITTANNING (KDKA) -- Authorities arrested a "Most Wanted" sex offender in Kittanning on Friday.

According to the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office, 36-year-old Jeffrey Anthony Ledonne, of McKees Rocks, was apprehended by sheriff's deputies, Kittanning police and Pennsylvania State Police.

Ledonne was wanted for a violation of his probation/parole for indecent assault of a person under the age of 13. Ledonne was also wanted on two additional warrants for not following the conditions of his requirements as a sex offender under Megan's Law.

Authorities had been searching for Ledonne since Aug. 15 of this year. On Friday afternoon, deputies obtained information that Ledonne was traveling in a vehicle in Kittanning. After searching for several hours, authorities spotted Ledonne in the vehicle, conducted a traffic stop and arrested him.

The Allegheny County Sheriff's Office says Ledonne had also been arrested in 2010 for a different statutory sexual assault charge. Ledonne was also wanted on a warrant for allegedly stealing $17-thousand worth of various car parts.

Ledonne is being held without bond in the Allegheny County Jail.
