2 Men Shot, Wounded In North Braddock

NORTH BRADDOCK (KDKA) -- North Braddock and Allegheny County Police are investigating after two men were shot Monday night in North Braddock.

The shooting happened around 8 p.m. along Middle Street, just off of 6th Street.

One victim, who was shot in the head, was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. The other man, wounded in the leg, was taken to Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville.

Both are believed to be in their 20s. Their names have not been released.

A neighbor said she heard about 10 to 12 gunshots.

Police say they found several shell casings on Middle Street, where they also discovered a set of car keys and a cell phone.

One of the shooting victims was found on 6th Street, and the other on Cliff Street, at the home of a relative.

No description was released of a possible suspect or suspects.

The shootings occurred in the same neighborhood where a 92-year-old woman was discovered bound and gagged earlier this year in her ransacked home on nearby Jones Avenue. She died of a heart attack; and the Allegheny County Medical Examiner ruled her death a homicide.
