Volunteers Needed For Pittsburgh Snow Angels Program

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - The City of Pittsburgh is looking for volunteers to help shovel snow this winter.

The Snow Angels program pairs older or disabled people with volunteers to clear snow from sidewalks and driveways.

"The Pittsburgh Snow Angels program represents so much of what being a Pittsburgher is all about – extending kindness, compassion and assistance to neighbors in need," Mayor Bill Peduto said in a statement. "I am very pleased that we are again able to offer such a valuable resource and connect our residents to snow removal volunteers."

If you'd like to volunteer, or if you need help this winter, you can sign up online here.
