United Airlines To Begin Charging For Overhead Bin Space
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- United Airlines will reportedly begin charging to use the overhead bins starting next year.
The Denver Post reports United Airlines will begin charging customers for the use of an overhead bin in 2017.
The Post reports that as part of the company's new pricing tier, Basic Economy passengers who purchase the airline's cheapest fares will only be allowed one personal item that must fit under your seat.
United will also reportedly not assign customers seats until the day of departure.
Frustrated customers are taking to social media to protest the proposed charge.
