3 Charged In Indiana Co. Double Murder Headed To Trial

CLYMER (KDKA) -- Justin Stevenson, 23, Nathan Price, 18, and Isaiah Scott, 17, were led out of the Indiana County courthouse this morning after their hearing.

Scott was a running back at Penns Manor High School.

The three men are accused of killing Tim Gardner, 26, and Jackie Brink, 20, at Gardner's house in Clymer.

Gardner's two children, ages one and three, were found unharmed inside the home.

"How could you do that when there's two little babies, two little babies," said victim's aunt Linda Gardner. "What if they heard you arguing and they got up?"

According to the criminal complaint, Stevenson, Price and Scott went to Gardner's house to rob him of drugs and money.

Prosecutors say they beat Gardner and his girlfriend with a chrome pipe, then ran off with a safe, cash and marijuana.

At today's hearing, all three were ordered to stand trial.

Stevenson's attorney says he will defend his client vigorously in court.

"I'm going to be working with my client and examining all the evidence. Right now we don't have all the evidence, we have basic evidence," said attorney David Shrager.

Friday's hearing was originally scheduled to be held at the local magistrate's office, but officials made the decision to move it to the Indiana County Courthouse given the serious nature of the crime, and the number of witnesses and others who were attending.
