Police Investigating Report Of Shots Fired In New Castle

NEW CASTLE (KDKA) -- Police are investigating after shots were fired in New Castle early Saturday morning.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. near a home in the 900-block of Rose Avenue.

Police found shell casings in an alley, and an neighbor said they heard as many as eight or nine rapid shots.

No suspect was found at the scene, and it is unknown if anyone was injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
