Multiple Reports Of Teens Being Groped Under Investigation In Rochester

ROCHESTER (KDKA) – Police are investigating after three teenage girls reported being groped in Beaver County.

It's happened at least three times this week, and all three of the victims are 16 years old.

Two of the assaults happened at a convenience store late at night. One of the incidents happened at 10 a.m.

Rochester sits in Beaver County, 25 miles northwest of Pittsburgh. About 3,600 people live there, but the population is declining, and lately, women have been more than a little cautious when walking down the streets.

Three 16-year-old girls, in three separate incidents, say a man approached them and inappropriately touched them this week.

They describe the suspect as a black male, in his 20s or 30s, heavy-set, and at least 6-feet-2-inches tall.

Parents learned about it when they were called by the schools. One mother, who didn't want to be identified, is worried.

"Kinda scared myself," she said. "Looking around, you know. I'm hoping everything will be alright, so everybody just pay attention."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Rochester Police at (724)-775-1100.
