MAHONING TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) — Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving an SUV and a pedestrian.

It happened around midnight Sunday along U.S. Route 422 in Mahoning Township, Lawrence County.

The victim has been identified as 52-year-old Robyn M. Pennachio, of Edinburg, Pa.

Police say Pennachio was walking in the eastbound lane of the highway when she was hit by a Jeep. The driver and passenger were not injured.

Authorities aren’t saying if charges will be filed.

All lanes of U.S. Route 422 were blocked in the vicinity of Matthews Road after the crash. State Police say the road has since reopened.
