Police: Twin Sisters Left 7 Kids In Filthy Home Without Food

ROCHESTER, Pa. (KDKA/AP) - Twin sisters accused of leaving their seven children alone in their filthy Beaver County apartment for hours without food or water have been charged with child endangerment.
Kaitlyn Lee Fritzley and Kayla Lynn Adkins were arrested Saturday after police were called to the sisters' Rochester home on East Washington Street when neighbors saw the children wandering outside.
Authorities say the children - who range in age from 2 to 11 - didn't have shoes or socks. Officers also discovered a cluttered kitchen along with garbage and feces throughout the home.
Authorities say the 28-year-old women admitted leaving their children home alone when they went to work at night, not having food in the house and being too tired to clean.
The sisters told police they assist each other in watching their children, but this time their arrangement wasn't working. They told investigators that after work they are too tired to clean or shop for groceries.
"We were not shocked because we seen the little baby a lot of times walking around, diaper soaked and yellow," said neighbor St. Clair Williams.
Both are not out of the Beaver County Jail after posting bond. They are facing charges of endangering the welfare of children.
The children are said to now be staying with family.
Meanwhile, notices have been posted on their home, condemning the structure and telling people to "keep out."
