INDIANA TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — A fatal crash shut down a road in Indiana Township on Sunday.

Indiana Township Police Sgt. Steve Colucci says when officers arrived on the scene, they found the male driver had been ejected from the vehicle.
“He was negotiating a turn to the right of the roadway and at this point in time the investigation is ongoing. It’s undetermined how many times the vehicle rolled,” said Sgt. Colucci.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has been identified as 61-year-old Douglas Bertha, Sr. of Tarentum.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time. According to the preliminary investigation, speed may have been a factor.
Saxonburg Boulevard was shut down while crews investigated and cleared the scene, but has since reopened to traffic.
