PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — After the holidays come and go, thousands of trees are put out for the trash.

Westmoreland Cleanways and Recycling are offering a way to recycle your tree, for free.

The trees will be chipped into mulch.

Several locations will be open until Jan. 31.
